Norwegian Association of Graduate Teachers

Our members have a Master’s degree. Most of them work within the following fields: education, cultural work, personnel management, counselling and information.

 Our primary mission is working to

• increase appreciation of the academic workforce in Norwegian society and especially in  the public sector
• promote the standing of  educational institutions in Norwegian society
• be a leader in educational politics
• improve graduate teachers’ working- and salary conditions
• improve the quality of  teaching at all levels in  Norwegian education and maintain and
• encourage the need for high teaching qualifications.

On 1^st January  2009, NLL had 2,354 members. Numbers grew by 20 percent in 2008, and are still on the increase.

 The Norwegian Association of Graduate Teachers is a member of The Federation of Norwegian Professional Associations (Akademikerne).

Banking and Insurance
The collaboration agreement between NLL and the DnBNOR-group offers members preferential banking- and insurance services. The membership advisor is able to facilitate this.

Legal assistance

Personal matters
We have an agreement with solicitor Gunn-Mari Kjølberg which entitles our members to one hour of free counselling in private matters and a discount on possible further assistance.
